What's the harm?

pleaserobme doesn't scare me. It doesn't tell whether my flatmates are at home, and there are easier ways to find out whether I'm at home (lights, anyone?). Also, for the average working person, assuming they're not at home at 2pm on workdays is a pretty safe assumption, and has been for more than a hundred years.

@Lamarr Wilson: so, what's the value of letting others know where you've been? You emphasize the point made by Chris, that location sharing has no purpose.

Bad idea. If I Buzz about a place, I do it AFTER I leave. That way I am not vulnerable.

Well said. 100% agreement here. Not only is location sharing extremely annoying for everyone else - there's only so many "I am in blah-train station" statuses that I hate to see. It's also potentially dangerous.. ideas like that pleaserobme site clearly demonstrate the potential danger.
