Should Search Engines be Community Driven?

If you Google the word Chris, you will find me. If you’re not in Google, you’re just not there. Where do you go to search? Do you only use one search engine, or does it depend on what you’re looking for? Do you ever try any others? Have you thought about giving MSE360 a try?

We added another community feature just now. The community results can be voted on. A brand new feature just competed a few minutes ago. The community results have + & -. Plus will allow users to vote up the result, raising it in the result rankings, - will drop it. If a site gets to many minuses then it drops off the search altogether. This should combat both Spam and also increase user participation!

I don’t use Google exclusively for all my searches. Google is great, but I’m always interested in seeing things through different search engine’s eyes. I’m also using Find.com - a new search engine with fresh and clean layout - with my searches.
