Should Google Buy Twitter?

To be harsh.

It would suck dick.

Reason being, if they bought it, they would just end up not listening to the public anymore, and they would start charging for stupid things.

No offense to Google, but: “NO!”

Maybe Google should. It happens a lot Twitter having capacity problems. It should be over the minute Google takes over ;-)

The good news might be it twitter less busy. The bad news it would be owned by Google.

If they integrate twitter to grand central then all bets are off!

Google buying Twitter would be so wrong on so many levels. Twitter is its own entity and goggle would probably ruin it by trying to make it a money making scheme.

My prediction – Google buys Twitter in the next two weeks – and turns it around as a new launch *Twitter beta!

That would basically start the era of Google being “everywhere”. They are involved with so many different services already, if they would buy Twitter then Twitter would certainly expand. However, I think it would become like “the next” MySpace in terms of popularity. It would start getting slow and more problems would occur. I like it the way it is now. I think Twitter is just better off staying Twitter for now, and not owned by Google.

As much as I like Google, I would be annoyed at them acquiring yet another service that should be left to it’s independent developer.

that would be terible i love twitter and how it is. i mean i used to like youtube when it was normal and now it makes me mad so please twitter reject it.

I don’t care who buys them… I think the important thing is to help EVERYONE out and come up with some kind of way for people to make a little extra money with Twitter.

I’m sure a lot of people on Twitter could use some financial help right about now. Maybe some sort of revenue share model like Adsense would be possible?

They’ll bring out Google Tweet View, where the images are real time based on what people are doing where.

If they buy twitter, it’ll go to pot like youtube (as almost every vid I try to watch on youtube now is ‘unavailable in your country’)

Google has improved everything it’s bought so far. No reason to assume Twitter would be any different. Blogger, Writely and Picasa all did very well and are major assets to the web in their Googly guise. Anyone notice the recent degradation of YouTube?

There are a lot of folks who are happy to enjoy the comfort of their opinions without the discomfort of thought, it seems.

I don’t think they, should. But they probably will.

They want to ultimately control the internet. And they are moving closer to doing it, as the market is really low, and google has a lot of surplus cash to make up some market share.

Yes……then shut it down! People are putting WAY TOO MUCH into communicating with others when they have to talk and or describe what they’re doing every few minutes.
