I wasn’t aware that any external video cards were already being sold. At least none that inhance your gaming visuals. Does anyone know the names of external video cards that would make gaming better?

Yes you can have more shared memory to your video card … but there is a limit, depending on your card and brand…. you should check for specifications on the internet … and it also depends on how much ram you have … cause I think … you cant use more memory to the video card…. than one forth of the ram you got

I have the same computer and the same problem…only 128 but it was advertised as twice that. Whats up with that. I hope someone answers this.

M CHRIS NICE SPACE U GOT, MY PROBLEM IS THIS, I BOUGHT THIS ACER, CRAP BY THE WAY, ACER 5100 LAPTOP, IT CAME WITH 1 GB DDR2 AND AN ATI VIDEOC ARD BUILT IN, I WAS TOLD IT WAS UP TO 512 SHARE RAM BUT NOW I CAN JUST GET 128, ITS OK I DONT PLAY TOO MUCH BUT IW ANNA KNOW WHAT WOULD BE THE PROBLEM
I TRIED TO INSTALL XP AND I EARSED THE RECOVERY PARTITION AND ALL STARTED THERE
I GET THE RECOVERY DVDS AND NOTHINGS WORK
