Secrets of the Show

Wanna get on Call for Help? Fine. It's easier than you think. (1) Get a netcam. (2) Have the ability to run Netmeeting on just about any version of Windows. (3) Think of a super simple question that's not terribly common. (4) Understand that we don't need to know everything about your system. (5) Remember that we don't usually deal with Windows 2000 or NT-specific questions. (6) If the line is busy, calling back on another day isn't going to get you any closer to being on the air. (7) Submit your question via our Web form, keeping it short, sweet, and to the point. (8) Be energetic if Craig contacts you. (9) Don't ask for a t-shirt. (10) Keep trying.

Private Domain Registration from GoDaddy is a smart thing to do. When you register a domain, your contact information is immediately made available to anyone who wants to see it. Hmmm, maybe this week I should try to get on CFH. I've even a good question. Hmmm….

I was horribly mauled as a child by a rogue Panda so I don't want to scare the children with my awful visage on television so is someone else would like to ask a question I've had for years now but can't find an answer to that would be fantastic. Here goes: “On a Macintosh you can create a new folder by typing Command-N. Is there an equivalent to this obviously useful and time saving keyboard shortcut on Windows XP?” That seems like a perfect Call for Help question in my book.

I do not think there is such a shortcut. Here is a link to a list of the Windows XP shortcuts

I hope it helps

Ok, I've got a question, that would probably never get on air, but who actually calls for help? I know that when I have a problem with my system after the basic troubleshooting guides, I go online to search the problem. I don't think I could wait to get on the show and get the answer. So who does wait? Also why did it take me 2 days to set up my Cam, yet the guy who doesn't know how to rename a file has a webcam since day 1?

;oj Good question..

Woops, I had a finger spasm there, sorry.
