Seattle Wedding Videographer
I come to you this afternoon seeking wedding video recommendations! Do you know someone who shoots excellent HD wedding video in the Seattle area? We’d like to have more than just still photos from our wedding. Ponzi and I have seen streaming video samples from just about every other local wedding video producer, and I don’t think a single one of them looks very professional. Actually, we found one producer - but he never got back to us. At this point, we’re looking for a happy medium between elegance and affordability - as the wedding is on December 9th. I would much rather be recording the ceremony in high definition, but may have to abandon that dream altogether - as “nobdody” seems to be doing it. Moreover, I want to be able to put the video online to share with the world, but… again, we can’t seem to find the “perfect” wedding video production team. Know anybody?

Maybe you’ve already talked to him but Steve Mack at Smacktastic should know if there’s anyone doing this if he’s not. He’s the incredible former media lab manager at Real.

Chris - you may have already heard this, and I know money is always a concern, but two things you never skimp on when planning a wedding are the photos and video. Twenty years from now when everything from that day is long gone (and possibly your memory is fading too!) you will only have the photos and the video to remind you of that day. Oh yeah, you’ll have your wonderful bride too! :)

I emailed a list of Seattle Videographers who shoot in HD and/or have some information about shooting in HD. I know your server was down so let me know if you need this sent again.

Hello Chris,
This is only a suggestion that will give you ideas of what to ask for in your videophotographer even though Joe Simon is not in Seattle.

I find it very interesting that you could not find a high-quality wedding videographer in the Seattle area? There are many! Also a small handful of us that offer HD. And if you’ve actually been to any of our websites the quality of work is amazing not to mention many of us are award-winning wedding videographers that are also members of the Wedding & Event Videographers Association International - I wish you both the best in your search Chris H. is right - photo and video should be paramount in your wedding planning. :) Cheers.

I shoot wedding video, though not in HD. There really is no reason to go HD because the HD is lost once you transition to DVD. So the technology is lost in the process. You can get quality every bit as good if you have someone who is shooting on a broadcast quality camera. I shoot throughout the Portland area and come to Seattle from time to time. I have a wedding shoot in Seattle on December 3rd. I am sure my prices are more then reasonable compared to Seattle prices. Feel free to contact me if you wish to know more about my service. I guarantee you will like my work and be happy with a momento to last a lifetime!

The idea of shooting “home video” is certainly evolving - with video equipment getting cheaper, and new (free) video hosting networks coming out of the digital woodwork every day… Related Content:Seattle Wedding VideographerNew GnomeTomes!Diet and Weight Loss Tips?Video RockersThe Real Home Loan GeniusRecommendations for Formatting Video PodcastsPower Generator BluesWhere’s The Duck TapeAlaska Cruise TipsMr. American Pie

Hey Chris, we met briefly at one of the Microsoft Teen Panels. I came across your article on HD videography from a few years ago. I have a friend that is just getting started doing HD videography cinematically for weddings. Would there be a place on your site to host local listings of photographers and videographers who are available for 2009 weddings? I am looking for a few couples who are interested in booking their weddings for either videography or photograph services through Foret Pictures.
Thanks,
