I am a current MacOS X 10.4.8 user and I use Safari 2.0.4 and I believe that it is much better that using Internet Explorer 7; but, that is just me talking. Mr. Pirillo, I am nnot sure if you have ever used Safari vs. IE7, but I have found that the security and stabiltiy are 10x better, plus Safari does not crash like Internet Excplorer does. Ever since I started using broadband or ever dial-up, and I was alwas using IE and it alwas crashed out, even some of the BSOD's were related to IE crashing.

Greetings all,<br

I'm glad that Swift is being developed, because it makes our lives easier. Supporting Safari is a good thing, as long as you can charge for the additional time spent in development and testing.

Look at the bright side. They provide developers to the WebKit open-source project which ported the engine to Windows. Second, the whole point of having another open-source is to improve. So why knock a Safari-based browser before it has time to grow? KHTML/WebKit is an excellent base which could go very far if given the chance.

First, this *was* ported with the help of Apple. Although it's not as fast as Camino/Firefox on OS X, I use it for several reasons:-It's pretty. Fonts and buttons look amazing. As an OSX user, I'm spoiled when it comes to GUI-It's native. Sure, Firefox for cocoa is coming soon, and Camino is an option, but they still don't feel as polished as Safari-It passes the Acid2 testI'll admit, the bookmark management is horrid, but seriously, Safari is not as bad as you guys make it seem. Webkit as advanced quite a bit since Safari was first introduced.

I’ve been using Safari as my default browser for months now, and have very few problems with the way it renders web pages (for meat least, maybe I’m lucky). Yeah, I tried for about 5 minutes to use Safari on my Mac. First site: check my Gmail. Second site: download Firefox. Why the hell can't I see the Chat/Contacts in Gmail on Safari?Who decided they needed Safari on a PC? The PC experience isn't painful enough already, so let's add Safari. Too bad that kind of thinking isn't lethal, or we'd have another nominee for the Darwin Awards.

Good thing I read the whole paragraph before commenting. Safari sucks. Use Camino or Firefox on the mac, and Firefox or IE7 (if you can stand the bugs) on Windows.

Haha – so true.
