RSS is Bigger Than Jesus
In between dodging dozens of these damned Sobig bounces every other minute, both Scott and I have announced that we're working on a tutorial for RSS. It's just “too damn confusing” for the average person to welcome onto their desktop, so we're aiming to demystify the funkadelic Malkovich flavor of super simple syndication. I know that Nick is already refining a better feature set for FeedDemon 2.0, and I'm hoping that Greg will start listening to my incessant feedback for improving NewsGator (my current choice for a news aggregator). When all is said and done, we want to make this stuff easier for Joe and Judy Consumer to understand.
Private Domain Registration from GoDaddy is a smart thing to do. When you register a domain, your contact information is immediately made available to anyone who wants to see it. Plus, as a listener of The Chris Pirillo Show, enter code CHRIS2 when you check out, and save an additional $5 off any order of $30 or more. Get your piece of the internet at GoDaddy!

I am really looking forward to this. I have expressed to Chris how I felt that my clients were being left behind and that RSS can be brought to the masses.
Good job Chris!

Feel free to cc: me on that feedback too. We built MyWireService (http://www.mywireservice.com) as entry-level web-based RSS aggregator. Just for consideration of your book, we use the one page model/custom newspaper metaphor (rather than 3 pane or email) which we think is an easier for beginners. We also categorize our feeds and offer “news packages” so it is easy to get started. And like another web-based aggregators (e.g. Bloglines) we don't have any cognitive dissonance between having links opening in another app. i.e. you are already in your web browser…
Looking forward to the book.

RSS is almost bigger THAN Jesus…How come blogger is so greedy at it and wont provide it for free? Looks like I might have to move my blog to tripod.com since they provide more options right now…

Chris,
You are so dang smart…..and cute too. (was Jesus cute…is that blasphemous?)
Why is it taking so long for me to become a geek?
I guess I'll have to go over to the chatboard to learn and get more info.

Well first of all why do you have to bring Jesus into this? Is there no other way to attract attention?
And aren't you a nice guy, I AM SURE YOU WILL CHARGE FOR YOUR TUTORIAL TOO.
I am sick of your seemingly casual happy go lucky attitute, yet you are just about the greediest web site I have ever seen, you charge for every advice.

Hmm… I take it you decided to never use the info I wrote for ScriptyGoddess after all. Well, if you should decide that you want to - feel free to share it!

I searched the web over and found a neat little aggregater called “Feedreader”. It is very simple to use and takes up little space. Plus it is free
