Ridge Racer 6 Online Gameplay Framerate

Dude. I finally got online with Ridge Racer 6 (Xbox 360) for the first time tonight. Figured it'd be a nice change of race pace to get my ass handed to me via the Internet. Everything was fine – until the race started. That's when I noticed I was dropping more frames than I was seeing. Seriously, it was nasty – to the point where I couldn't keep up with what was going on, and subsequently landed myself in last place every time. Yes, I tried it more than once – and every time was just horrible. I can't imagine this is the way it's supposed to be. TMK, there's no other (major, at least) Internet traffic flying over my connection – so is it just the way Ridge Racer 6 works online? Man, that sucked. UPDATE: Apparently, there's a “fix”.
