My wife bought me one 7 years ago before we were married and we use it literally everyday with no problems. The water in SoCal SUX, big time. You will have to get used to using bottled water for the best tasting coffee. BTW-Alta Dena is a premier dairy in SoCal, if you can find Hollandia , you might try that instead. Capresso rocks. I couldn't find it on their website, but I called their 800 number, and they are sending it to me no charge. A definite thumbs up for Capresso!
