Really Super Sleuthing
Technorati isn't just for egosurfing. This morning, it pulled in dozens of entries for my keywords from a single source: AsamBoi. Now, if you click that link before Blogger support gets to it, you'll see that someone's mirrored my ENTIRE blog. Without RSS, I probably would have never known about or reported this infraction. I also wouldn't have discovered that Gnomedex is one of the world's most valuable tech conferences (according to Werner Vogels) without Feedster. And through serendipity, I stumbled upon Waypath. Still think news aggregators are only for early adopters? Think again.

They say that imitaion is the sincerest form of flattery, but this borders on downright creepy.

You might want to check out the http://www.ablake.com forums…Your name was being bandted back and forth concerning email being dead and RSS….
I, of course, posted something brilliant. Only, not really.
Someone posted something about, “I make more mony then Pirillo.”
It is in the “email is dead thread.”
Could make for interesting postage.
BTW, John Reese, who stated it came off his statment and said intelligence nor money had anything to do with things.
His views? Email is here to stay for marketers and blogging is overhyped.

Well, feel flattered for a coupla nanoseconds like the guy in the first post says, and then deck the little *******. That's creepy as all whatever.
Or should I just feel stupid for trying to make up my own original blog-posts?
I'm going off to feel self-righteous now…

Why would someone do that? It doesn't make sense to me.

Well… it's 11:35 Eastern Monday morning… and that other blog is still a mirror… although a tad behind. Guess he doesn't want to spill the beans that he's mirroring you.

It's odd, but at least he/she isn't presenting your blog as his/her work. Maybe it's a weird kind of tribute.

Hehe, a Google for “chris pirillo” lists the “tribute” blog at no. 34… and a search for the title of your last post “Honor thy Frother” lists the other site higher than yours! You better do something before it climbs any higher.

I guess you should feel somewhat angry… I don't see why this person would want to do that… seems a little odd to me. If they are a true mirror why not just put your website address in each of your posts… that would bring everyone from his site to yours…
