Ready 2 Rumble Revolution (and How to Win a Wii)
There’s a chance you can win a Wii:
- Click this Ready 2 Rumble Revolution badge on or before February 6, 2009. That’s the giant red boxing glove you see below – that’s what you have to click first.
- Then, leave a comment below (in this post) explaining why you want a Wii.
- If we generate the most legitimate clicks through this badge, I’ll be the grand prize winner – and if that happens, I’ll give the Wii to one of those who comment below.
Pretty easy to do, no?
Okay, now if you haven’t figured it out by now – Ready 2 Rumble Revolution is the next installation in the series. It’s pretty much like the other R2R games you’ve known and loved, except for one small detail: it’s now available on the Wii. Suffice it to say, R2R is probably the funniest boxing video game you’ll ever experience. Time to stand up and start swinging your Wiimote and Wii nunchuk until you get a TKO!
So, the first thing you need to do is click the giant boxing glove here:
And if you’ve never loved R2R, maybe the chance of winning a Wii for yourself will change your mind?
So, are you ready to rumble? [and yes, "The Voice of the Champions," Michael Buffer, famous for his "Let's Get Ready to Rumble" remark, will be the host of your R2R Revolution gaming experience.]

We just moved and I haven’t made any friends yet. I have been playing on our old second PS2 because our other one broke almost as soon as we got here. So last week this one broke. I had no game console! And what’s a Geek without his game console? So my brother just bought a Wii the other day. If we get the Wii we can return the other Wii and save $250! (plus I’m already tired of Wii Sport’s “Boxing”)
Thanks!

I love the Wii. Throughout my first 2 years dorming at DePaul University – I spent countless hours in my friends’ apartament playing wii constantly. I really want one but there’s no chance I can actually afford one for a few more months at least.

I think I should get the Wii because of my wife. She is over weight and refuses to excersise because she is afraid that people would watch her and make fun of how she looks. I’ve been trying to make her excersise but no matter what I do she refuses to excersise. So in conclusion I think that if we got the Wii that she could get Wii fit and she would be able to excersise at home. So please choose this entry to be a winner, not just for me but my wife as well.

I clicked too many times on glove on accident. My apologies.
Our family would like the Nintindo wii for exercise. We are homeless and stuck in a little room at a hotel in SeaTec. My girls Winter age 8, Rain age 5 and Karissa age 1 don’t get out very much because the hotel cost so much money to keep us warm in the cold seattle weather that I dont have money to get them much else.
I am disabled with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Bi-polar. 3 years ago while filing for disability claims it took 1 year for benifits to show so I had 1 year with absolutely NO income I was eventually evicted. When I got married my husband was very abusive but well off and used it over my head to control me. He knew that for up to 12 years in Seattle if you have an eviction that no one would rent to you. Eventually things got violent and he tried to choke me so we divorce but he gets the home because he bought it before we got married and I cant rent anywhere due to the eviction while waiting for disability benifets to get proper care for my mental illness.
We are at Days Inn Hotel at Seatac. You are welcome to look up our registration. We have been homeless and stuck here since December 31 of 2008.
Don Lemons knows of our situation of what he could pick up on my twitter chatter.
low income housing takes up to 2-3 years and emergancy housing and transitional housing…well not enough resources (thanks Bush) and too many people need help (thanks subprime mortgage mess).
check out my webpage!!
I love your show.. one good thing we get CNN!! and I have internet but we would love to have a Nintendo Wii to share as family, me to loose some weight and the girls to get some exercise!! and fun!!
warmest of Wishes,
Autumn Meadows!

Why I need a Wii: 2009 is My Year of Living Electronically. Problem is, I do not own a game system. Not even an ancient Atari. And the thrill of the BlackBerry is wearing off. So in order to fully live electronically, I really need a Wii. I need to come out of the dark ages and rumble! I need news, entertainment, education – and a Wii is the answer. I can’t let my life go by without the Wii experience, and you have the power to deliver. So please, pick me.

I want a wii because my my family needs to spend some time together. My mom and dad are always fighting and i think that the wii would bring us together a little more and help us relax and have good time. I know that sounds corny but its true. Also, it will get my family off the couch and a little more active. If i recieved a wii i would be so much happier than i am now because im tired of my parents bickering and we all need something to get our minds off of life. Please choose me.

Well, I would like a Wii because I recently had a baby and would love a way to get back in shape during these winter months when I can’t go outside :(. Also, we are in charge of a youth group and all those kids would absolutely love a new way to kick our butts in something haha, especially since some of them don’t have enough money for games systems of their own.

My brother is always playing with my Nintendo Wii and i dont like him in my room, sometimes i cant say no to the little guy. But now i have a 52inch hdtv in my room and he has a habit , a really bad habit of not using the strap for the wii-mote and yes he has let go of the control and hit the wall. Sometimes he likes to invite his friends over to play and i would hate it if one of his friends throws a fast ball right into my t.v. So if i won this wii i would give it to my bro so he can break his own tv sometime in the near future.

The Wii would be a perfect gift for my friends family. They gave me so much and have been through rough times as of late. I would love to give them a Wii since they loved using mine so much. I need to keep my Wii for game reviews so I couldn’t give them mine, so winning one for them would be fantastic.

Well, the reason I desire a wii is because my local children’s charity had all of their gifts stolen over the holidays, and I want to donate something really nice to this one family that was affected by the monstrosity.

The wii is the most intriguing of this console generation for me. Though the other consoles may have more power behind i, this is truly being the most innovative of the bunch. I really wanted to try games like Smash Brothers Brawl, Super Mario Galaxy, Animal Crossing, Metroid, and the Legend of Zelda. I also want to take advantage of the virtual console gaming experience so I can play some of my favorite games. This is why I want the Wii.

I could tell you a heart throbbing story about my house burning down after Christmas and we lost everything including the Wii. We had no insurance and we had to start over, but I’m not going to. There will be enough stories unscrupulous posts with tear jerking paragraphs that you will have to weed through to determine if they are of a true nature or not. All I can say is good luck… Its all a lie, nothing is real, and we can live without a Wii.

Hello my name is David W and I am o 16 years old. I have cerebral palsy and my legs are weak from it. I only have a minor case of it so I was able to recover from it and be able to walk on my own. I am not able to run for a certain period of time and I am limited to the things that I can do. I see all the other kids doing things I can’t do but wish I could. I want a WII because it would help me be able to gain some of the strength that I should have at this age. I would be able to do things on the WII like the things that the kids in my neighborhood do I would be able to play baseball, bowling, and all the other WII sports without being made fun of because I’m not good at these things. This is why I want a WII

I recently visited some family friends. They had a Wii and I really felt like spending the whole night there playing/exercising. When I got home I stopped and stared at my old, busted up, missing screws, not vibrating Sony Playstation 2.
Anyways, looked at the price, too much for this 16 year old with no job. I have been spending too much time on chris.pirillo.com and my addiction to facebook is catching up to me….I am getting chunky. :D So I guess I would KILL for A WII. And nobody likes a geek without the latest TECH!!!!

2008 was a rough year for everyone. I’m a college student living with my girlfriend. She lost her job on New Years eve so she now has no income. Our combined income supported us through the year and now without her income we are forced to move. So we are both moving in with her parents. Now her father is a fan of the Wii but they do not own one. He occationally goes to the neighbors to play Wii sports with them. If I were to win a Wii for her family it would score me huge brownie points for having to ask to live with them while I finish college.

I want to win the Wii because I love gaming, Xbox360, PS3 and on the PC. My wife has no interest in the games I play but when I borrowed my dad’s Wii for a weekend we had such a laugh playing Wii Sports. I know if I win this then my wife and I will have hours of quality time together gaming which in return will save my marriage. I also have a 17 month old son who I want to get into gaming as soon as he can hold a controller and the Wii would be the perfect console for this.

I’m a middle-aged, non-tech savvy, overweight aunt who was introduced to the delights of the Wii over Christmas by my nephew. I’d love to to use the Wii as an exercise and fitness tool, to lose weight by having some FUN with exercise — and also maybe to score some coolness points with the neph :) I hear Oprah’s guru is developing an exercise regime for the Wii. I would love to enter the high tech world, but it’s just too pricey for me – unless I could win it!

Once upon a time, about 10 years ago, I stood in front of the glowing Christmas tree, staring at all the beautifully wrapped gifts. There was one box in particular that caught my attention, it was a familiar sized box, a box I had seen in the stores. Could this box be what I think it is? Could it really be the gift I had dreamed about all year? Could it be a new, sleek, fun-filled, cutting edge, Nintendo 64!? You bet it was! I played that thing for hours upon hours – Mario Cart, Waverace, Banjo Kazooie, James Bond! But here’s where the story gets sad. This Christmas I decided it was time to turn in the old Nintendo 64 and get the new Nintendo product, the Wii. So once again, there I stood in front of the Christmas tree, staring at a familiar sized box, could it be a Wii? Christmas morning comes, without hesitating, I reach for the box, rip off the shiny wrapping paper and lo and behold, there it is, my new shining iPod dock (WHAT!?). I deserve that Wii…

I would like a wii because its going to improve my fitness. Lately, the Wii has been having games that would help you move around and exercise, when you don’t even know it! I would like this and with school and stress I think the Wii will help out relieve stress.
This is important because its will improve how I function at school and on tests because I would have the chance to play the Wii. I think this would be a good alternative to exercise rather than going into the below freezing weather. Some moving around is better than NONE.
Wii Fit is the most active game that I have seen and if I win this Wii I would not hesitate and buy the Fit. Wii also comes with Wii SPORTS and the Boxing in that game also gets you up and moving. You are not going to be sitting down in front of the T.V all day, if you play that long. If you do play that long, then you will be somewhat active.
Wii is not all about games! There are other little channels that you can get for free from the Wii Store like the Vote channel to vote with Nintendo’s random questions. There are also other channels that add to the fun.
You can use wii for more than one purpose. You can use the Wii for a computer, of some sorts. I have a wireless keyboard. You can use the wireless keyboard and plug that in to the wii and when you send a message to another wii friend, using the keyboard is faster to type.
The internet on the wii is very good! I said that you could use your wii as the computer, (internet). When searching, you can use it on Chris Pirillo’s Blog or other Fourms. You can type Messages with ease because of the Wireless keyboard insted of moving you hand all over the place. That takes time and you might not like it.
Getting in contact with friends is now easier than ever! Just get with the Wii and send them your wii Code and get talking. I think I would be the perfect winner for this Wii because I would use the Wii for what its used for. Not JUST games or not JUST channels or internet.
Using the full potential for this console is very important and would benefit the most!
Thank you for taking the time to completely read my points and why I would like to Win the wii.
Thanks, Max

I am a teacher and so whenever I get my hands on a new piece of tech, my first thoughts are always how I can use it to further educate my students.
I’ve read of many different uses for the Wii in the classroom and would love to give them a try. And in the end, if I can’t get any real learning gains out of it, I can always give my fighting students a fighting chance by fighting it out with the Wii.

My single son just moved out and took his WII system with him. This was the first system that a grandmother like myself could actually play with her grandkids of all ages (five, six and nine). Besides having fun we were getting some exercise. Really enjoyed playing the WII and sometimes I was even able to beat the six year old!!! Now when they come over, no WII at Grandmas house. A Wii would be great for me. As the only male in my family I have to face constant “Do I look fat?” or “How’s my makeup” questions. A Wii console could let me escape from the raging amounts of estrogen. If you didn’t know most mothers would rather not have video games in the house, but to win this would finally give me a chance to do something I decide to do rather than having someone else decide for me. Great videos and keep it up Chris.

I’ve always wanted a Wii because it would give me a chance to go back to my gaming roots. Like a lot of people, I started out with a nintendo system (mine was a Super Nintendo). It was an absolute blast, but nothing compared to the feeling I received when I first got an N64. Ever since that day, I have been a huge fan of The Legend of Zelda – Ocarina of Time and all of its sequels. I owe it all to Nintendo, and to this day I still want to help them make gaming history. The Wii may not be technically superior to either Sony’s or Microsoft’s system, but it may still be the most fun to just pick up and play.

I would like a Wii because my boyfriend and I don’t get out much and the Wii would give us some much-needed entertainment in our lives and something we can do together. I am a 50+ kid who is not ready to grow up and probably never will be. I love video games and still have the first Nintendo they made. I have wanted a Wii since the day they came out but I have never been able to afford one.

I’ve always wanted to win a WII ever since the news came out a couple of years ago. I’ve always been a ninty fan but consoles here in the Philippines cost a fortune! Winning a Wii would definitely help me exercise especially now that I’ve been diagnosed with Aortic Valve Stenosis (leaky valve) and just recently, I had an ECG and the results were that I have enlargement of the left ventricle of my heart (Left ventricular hypertrophy).
So winning a wii, would definitely get me back into shape especially in games like R2R and other games that require extensive movement. I hope that my condition will not turn into Congestive heart failure and that i shall live my life longer.

I have never really owned a gaming console before. Sure I’ve played games on the computer like The Sims etc. but after first seeing the wii at my friends house, it was something different. The use of the remote was something unreal, like a whole new level of playing games and that is why I want to win a wii.

I would really enjoy of Wii if I had one, I am neither rich nor poor but I don’t have a job to fund one of these games consoles!
The main reason I would want one of these would be to:
1. Share it with the family
2. Keep active (actually do some exercice)
3. Keep me positive
Thanks,
Sam

I want to buy a wii for my big brother(who is one year older than me) because i bought my little brother something and I want to do something nice for my big brother. I asked him about 6-7 months ago: If he can get anything what would he want? He said “A wii and Super Smash Bros Brawl.” I told him “to tell me something cheaper” because I know I didn’t have that type of money. SO I REALLY WOULD LIKE TO WIN A WII!!!!! If someone else wins i hope they have a blast playing it though.

I have a very busy work schedule and due to that I have a very stressed out life even on weekends. The Wii seems a very good reason to spend time with family and friends using the excuse of “Gaming”.

I know this is a little late but I’m still gonna give it a shot though. The reason why I want a Wii is because I know I’ll never get it. I live in a ghetto in Kingston, Jamaica and my family is really poor. I got a Nintendo DS 4 years ago thanks to my parents putting together enough money to get me one but recently my mother got laid off from her job and my father left my family. She is struggling to keep my sister and I in school and I love her. Sadly she is geting a bit overweight and I thought that Wii Fit would help her with that.
Well that’s why I want a Wii.
