The Cluetrain Manifesto is pretty lame. Nevertheless, merely because it asserts something doesn't make it absolutely untrue. "Markets are getting smarter . . . " has been completely fulfilled. Before the net, I had to wait on the Friday newspaper to find out if a movie was worth going to. Now a quick visit to Rottentomatoes.com tells me in a second whether it's worth my time. Should I buy this book? Unlike B&M, Amazon and the like offer peer reviews. And the internet isn't "enabling conversations among human beings that were simply not possible in the era of mass media"? What the heck is his editorial? I never read Dvorak before the culmination of the internet. And so on and so forth. I like Dvorak, but like everything else on the net he's grown stale.
