Radio Silence
Couldn't get the site to load a few hours ago? Our HTTP service went down last night (not long after I tried to post the previous entry). Since I could still use SMTP, TELNET, and FTP, I was a bit baffled. We finally figured out the problem this morning, although I'm still not sure why or how it happened in the first place. We just needed to restart Apache; all was well after the bounce. Jake suggested the solution this morning. Within minutes, I had PuTTYed in and… wait a second. I'm trying to load my site (again) right now and it doesn't seem to want to pull up.
*mash mash mash*
Weird. Everything's fine again. I'm starting to get concerned, and can't help but wonder what's causing this to happen? It kinda kicked in when I started to run the MT script. Anybody out there ever have a problem like this? I'm almost afraid to post.
I won't be able to send out today's Windows Daily newsletter until after I return home this afternoon. All the data is there, natch. Where's that laptop when I need it? Which reminds me – I was supposed to FAX some kind of document back to Dell today. Oops. Guess that'll have to wait a while, too. We've got a show to put on! If you've never tuned in to watch Call for Help, please do. Today, we're talking about uber cool game controllers and how to get your screenplay published.
