Demand is ludicrously high for good Drupal devs right now -- which suggests to me that, if anything, this bodes well for Drupal's future. If there is a very high demand (right now there are 6 figure Drupal dev jobs out there) it'll inspire more talented folks to learn it. If there was a lot of available, cheap talent it would be a deterrent for folks to spend time learning the platform...
