Your insight into blogging has assisted how I will approach blogging once becoming a professional. I hope other PRs find your tips useful and start applying these suggestions to their practice. I was quite surprise by point #4: know your public. Public awareness is a fundamental element in PR, which is why I am astonished that not all practitioners are following this basis element. Good to see you feel PR has a place in blogging because I am not so convinced. I recognize how valuable blogging can be in reaching a vast number of people in a short period of time, but I am weary that entering the blogging domain will reinforce pre-existing notions of PRs as “spin doctors”. With your advice, PRs might be able to blog appropriately.

As a PR student I appreciate your thoughts on PR and blogging. In fact, I used to seek them out for review copies of video games for a site owned. One thing though, if you do get offered a review product or service be honest and give an objective opinion. Don't feel you must give a favorable review just because they gave you something for free.

I have never had a problem with PR agents.
