The punters ease of parting with the bucks is the cause of the problem. It's basic maths. If a full product is worth " $XYZ" but the punter is willing to pay that "$XYZ" for a half complete product don't bark at the manufacturer. The manufacturer is there to generate profit, end of story. They will supply to the punter whatever the punter is willing to pay for.
What does the iPhone cost? $600US did you say? I hope you enjoy the gizmo for another few days and then return it to the planet it came from Ponzi.
Consider this, the next time you use the iPhone to order home delivered pizza costing $15. The guy at the shop says "It will be there in 10 minutes but the pizza is just a 1.0 device and if you leave your email address we will notify you when the ham and mushroom are complete."
Guys, iPhone is not the bad guy.

Computer technology (I now include phones as computers) is the only technology or commodity I can think of where punters are willing to shell out huge dollars for an incomplete product. Only a geek wants all the shit you bring up.
Ars has already done the drop test, it's sturdy.
You geeks just need to get over yourselves, this is for everyone else, and even you if you'd open your mind.
Ponzi wins...she's right...it's easy.

Chris…You’re the only guy I know that talks more than his wife :-)<br

If you can't get a full day's use out of it, I recommend returning it. The battery could be a dud. Thanks for the review guys.

I’ve seen reports of people having to return their iPhone due to extremely short battery life.
