Real artists and musicians control their own creations by letting them go and moving on to making more. If you've heard some music and you want to mix it into your own realm, never hesitate to try and get a hold of the maker, and talk with them about what your plans are for using their creation. Music deserves to be freed, like all art it's a GIFT. Artists want to hear that people dig their shit, don't be scared to let them know.

Together we will BURY THE INDUSTRY and EMPOWER THE ARTIST.

Depending on your need, you may also want to try IODA Promonet, as well as approaching podcaster-friendly labels:

http://www.iodapromonet.com

Magnatune Records is one such label:

http://www.magnatune.com

Also, don't forget the old standby, Archive.org.
