I'm still in Sin City, and I think I've convinced a handful of e-mail publishers to start pushing out their content in RSS. I'm further refining my impending seminar, and I believe we're going to have a tutorial available for everyone soon. I was told that I'm quickly becoming an RSS evangelist. I have no problem sporting that title, and I'd like to thank Dave for giving it to the world. For those who don't “get it” yet, you will – and it's up to people like me to show you why it's more than just a flash in the pan. Oh yes, and I still hate Starbucks.

It's ironic to me that you, with the most visited blog according to weblogs, preaches for RSS while I see so many others attack it. It's hard to draw a line when there's such great opposing forces.
And yes, starbucks does stink. Their service is awful.

Cool to see some plugs for RSS.
The verdict is still out on Starbucks for me, but I could live without it for sure.

Between you and my resident geek, I just may become proficient enough in the lingo and the applications to fully understand the significance of RSS, XML, RDF, WOMD, etc.
Someday.

Enjoy the stay in Vegas. I was there a couple of years ago and spent 2 weeks at the NYNY. Make sure you check out the Hilton and the Star Trek Experience, it's great even for non “Trekkies”. Say hello to Torak and the Ferengi at Quark's Bar for me. Try and break them out of character for me to, I couldn't do it.

There are those who have pointed out to me that Dave did not create RSS< Netscape did, Dave just made the current flavor from what they made. Just a point.

Woah, Chris,
Don't know why I “bit” on the RSS plug, but just spent 8 hours fiddling and getting something working on my site, just to see what it looks like.
So, thanks, I think…;-)
I gotta stop reading your blog…

Very cool man. Nice to have an advocate for RSS out there. Two more pitches for RSS over email newsletters (although both have their place) is:
a) spam is starting to severely restrict newsletters. And a lot of people can't get their email providers to let the newsletters they want thru.
b) RSS can be searched and archived for the future

Did you ever snag the Scripty post for the RSS info? I'm happy to share it with you – whatever is mine is yours. (Just yours though.) I e-mailed you that I wasn't editing it because it covered everything nicely, but didn't hear back.
