Love it. One of the recently, a year or so ago, opened CompUSA's here in Denver is closing.

They closed the one in Raleigh, NC a couple months ago. It is Best Buy, Circuit City or nothing here. Of course the web is always there but I miss walking into a store that is nothing but computer geek warez.

Being in GA, having a MicroCenter an Fry's was really kick butt! Now I am in NC and all they have is Best Buy. Ugh.

We got nothing left. Guaranteed. Same thing down in San Diego only thing left was junk that even at 50% off isn't worth it.

The store in Marietta, Georgia did the same thing a few weeks ago. I needed a video card, and seen the one in an e-mail they sent me. I clicked on the link within the e-mail, and it took me to the CompUSA site where it described the rebate information. (I'm not a big fan of rebates) I drove all the way to the store to purchase the item, but was told at the checkout counter, that the Marietta store does not honor any advertised specials due to closing the store. I went home an logged into the TigerDirect site and purchased the video card at a good price. The only difference was that I had to wait a couple of days. TigerDirect has been one of the best stores online for me. Fast delivery, and excellent to return any item purchased.

10 years ago I worked at CompUSA in Minnesota.
The store was about excitement. But I moved on, and so did CompUSA.
Pricewatch, and others are now where I shop.
