The corporate mantra "embrace and extend" was taken to its logical conclusion today, as Microsoft's chief syndication architects slapped Atom and RSS together in one giant spec sandwich.

No longer will users be forced to decide between "less filling" and "tastes great." OurSS is all things to all people; the long-standing debate has finally been settled with this bold (character escaped) move. Inspired largely by Apple's vigilante efforts in the syndicationsphere, Microsoft turned something simple into something even simpler.

Rival syndication factions IMANASS, AtomsApple, and PrinceSS have announced a coalition to combat OurSS in the browser - claiming that Microsoft's directive will only stifle innovation. IMANASS brings with them key supporters from fringe syndication groups such as BetterSS, AnotherSS, CoolRSS, and RSS 3.11 (for Workgroups). Meanwhile, certain Atom supporters have split from the group to form their own, under the working title "FortyPointBuck."

9 out of 10 people agree that they still don't understand or care.

OK, now that is damn funny!

Nice job, Chris. :o)
Well, good approach, but the product name does not live up to Microsoft standards. How about "Windows Live Advanced Messaging Syndication Platform, Extended Enterprise Edition"? Short and sweet.
these are so funny, you guys are nailing it!
