So FYI to prevent further phone problems, such as Noise on DSL line... ie, loud static while trying to talk on the phone, that will have an annoying habit of coming and then disappearing when the sun comes out.... have them put a splitter on the outside at the "protector" and run the DSL in on another pair of wires to a designated jack and your Phone line on the another pair ... most places are now wired with 6 pair coming into the jacks... and you won't have to use phone filters with DSL wired this way. At least that's how the Verizon DSL problem was corrected at my house. anyway if you need more info on that let me know... When I moved, I didn't have that one filter anymore and had to put the plugs on each jack. Ooh… ooh…
