Personal and Professional Changes Afoot
I’m very sorry to say this, but Ponzi and I are in the process of getting a divorce.
That’s about as much information as I’m going to share, whether you’re connected to me in a personal or professional capacity. Personally, I’d ask that you keep judgments to yourself, as this is difficult enough to get through without having unwarranted perspectives and postulations piled on top. Your understanding, please, would be most appreciated.
Despite this change, my endeavors will continue to roll forward – going into their 14th year.
Professionally, as far as Lockergnome and Gnomedex are concerned, I’m moving full speed ahead – and everything related to business will now be flowing through me directly. Gnomedex 9.0 is still on track, and you can expect to hear more about it in the coming weeks (including new sponsors, speakers, and activities). We’re still good to go! Pardon any delays in communications.
This post will now mark the last time I’ll speak about my relationship with Ponzi. Again, I can hope for nothing more than your support and understanding.

Chris, I’m saddened for both you and Ponzi. I applaud your difficult decision to announce this to the world which is not an easy thing for anyone to announce, especially a “star”. I hope that you and Ponzi will be able to move on without too much pain and hurt in the process and I wish you the best in the future.

I’m very sorry to hear this Chris. My parents are going through the same thing, but fortunately, it’s more so a peaceful deal which is what I hope your situation turns out to be. You’re a great guy, so it shouldn’t be hard to move on. Just stay busy with work and never doubt yourself. Good luck with everything!

Bummer dude. Guess it goes without saying that you have the support of the Lockergnome and Geeks community. I think I speak for everyone in saying that these things happen in life and as much as it sucks to go through, we hope that all will be well between yourself and Ponzi in the long run. If you need anything from us, you know we are there for both you and her as you go about this change. Best of luck my friend.

I cant believe ya’ll are getting divorced.
That sucks and sorry to hear.
Hopefully, its speedy though all the legal proceedings and pain and you’re able after awhile to find that MRS RIGHT again.

Chris,
I don’t know if you received my message on Twitter, but I want to (again) extend my well-wishes for both you and Ponzi in the weeks, months, and years to come. I care about the both of you a great deal, even going so far as to consider the two of you part of my extended family.
As a child of divorced parents, as well as recent divorcee myself, I know the pain of separation all too well. Which is why I send my love out to the both of you, and hope that, in the end, everything turns out for the best. I would also like to extend my well-wishes to the both of you, and offer any assistance or advice that I possibly can.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I hope that both of you, in the end, will be able to look back on the experiences you’ve shared together fondly, and that both of you will be able to move on from this ordeal stronger people.
Take care, Chris.

Chris I know you wouldn’ be announcing unless you were serious about things being broken. And I’m so sorry that you have to go through this publicly. It’s tough to keep a relationship going in the world we live in, which unfortunately I’ve found out more than once. Some things just work for one part of a couple and not for the other. What might have been possible to put up with in 1960 isn’t doing it for us today
.

Some girls get attracted to the whole “Hollywood Phenom” thing. They build it up in their head. But the reality of it isn’t like how the movies make it out to be.
But sometimes people marry for financial reasons and look at the whole “If I marry this person I can use their fame for my advantage” but don’t tell anyone about it. In the end, sometimes it doesn’t work to their benefit, then the truth comes out.
But when the truth doesn’t come out it’s a marriage of lies right from the beginning and who knows what else could have been going on and the end result could be an ending of bullshite that you’ll be convinced is the truth.
So when in doubt, don’t marry…especially when it’s to someone who knows too much about you.

I guess some people don’t understand the request, “keep judgments to yourself. “

Um, excuse me anon, but no one asked for your judgment. In fact the OP asked specifically that you NOT judge. What part of that can’t you read? You’re not helping anything. At all.

Interesting that all the Google advertisements are about divorce, something amusing about that really given the nature of the statement.
Also interesting contrasting the comments here to the comments on the Digg article related to this, big difference there.

A very late reply. I’m sorry to hear about your divorce, especially since it’s a 2nd marriage. I hope that you find love again–I know several people who finally got it right the 3rd time.
