I'll admit that I've only made it to 10,000 twice, but it is a nice goal and works out to about 3 miles. If you did 3 miles a day every day your 20 pounds of extra flab would disappear very quickly. Anyway, get the pedometer and try it.

The ideal is to walk 10,000 steps every day. It's reasonably priced, very accurate and you don't even have to wear it! A lot of other pedometers are very picky about bein worn just right in order to work. This one works on your belt, in your pocket or in a purse. It also stores 7 days of history and calculates calories.
