I imagine being my parents, sending a check in the mail for the house payments hoping and praying it gets there on time. Now we can log in and have the transaction completed in like 2 minutes. The funny thing about billpay is the majority of the time all the bank is doing it printing out a check and physically mailing it to your debtor. Even still that rocks and I love it! It is particularly useful for recurring bills that are of varied amounts (like electricity, etc.) since you can set up payment rules that can automatically pay the full amount. You are even able, with Paytrust, to have companies that do not offer e-bill services, to mail your paper bills to Paytrust, after which they scan the bill and notify you via email. You can then view thew bill online, pay it, save it locally, etc. I have used Paytrust (http://www.paytrust.com) for receiving and paying bills for a number of years and find it invaluable.
