OS X is too Sexy for Revver
We’ve been uploading our videos to Revver for a while (you can link to any one of ‘em and make money for the traffic you send). Every once in a while, we run into an error.
Tonight, I received an email with the subject: “Revver: Adult Violation Notice.” I don’t remember uploading any kind of adult content - anywhere, ever. Here’s what the email included:
Your video “How is OS X Different than Windows?” was rejected because our reviewers found it to be in violation of the Revver Member Agreement, which prohibits users from uploading adult content. For more info on content upload guidelines, please review this section of our Member Agreement.
So, is OS X too sexy for Revver? Too sexy for my hat? Why was this video flagged as adult content? Maybe they think Windows is sexier than OS X? Or, perhaps… they think Linux is sexier than either one? I could file an appeal, but it’s much more fun to sit here and wonder how on earth this got flagged. :)

Maybe because it’s an “X” rated OS. Get it? OS X. Umm.. nevermind.

Watched the video and saw nothing inappropriate. My bet is the title tripped a filter. Change the title from “How is OS X Different than Windows?” to “How is OS 10 Different than Windows?” and I bet you pass inspection. You may also have to search any text content in your upload for the string “OS X” and replace it with “OS 10″.

Hey guys,
Sean here from Revver. It looks like the reviewer accidentally clicked the wrong button while reviewing this video. This happens occasionally since human reviewers screen all videos before they go online. Sorry for the confusion, Chris. If you ever have a problem like this again, you can contact review at revver.com anytime–they work 24 hours a day.
