I'm not kidding. This is exactly what they sent to users earlier today. As you can imagine, quite a few people are up in arms about it. “Sure, I can trust Microsoft with my personal information. They've never done anything to cause concern.” Yikes. Not good. Expect it to get worse before it gets better. Perhaps naming it “Lindows” wasn't the smartest thing they could have done? Pretty soon they'll be asking for my dental records.

Ah, well, your personal information is already in the hands of people who have the potential to misuse it far more than MS.
Your college, your insurance companies, your doctor, your bank, your credit card co., your bookstore, your cookies, your bookie, your wife, etc.
Lindows, by the way, now wants you to pay them $99 to become an “Insider.”
Right, bucko.

Soon Microsoft will go after the window making industry for trademark infringement.
