Oops, I Crapped My Pants
After meeting the author of 'Atlantis, Alien Visitation and Genetic Manipulation' (and subsequently reading it), I've embarked on an intellectual journey that's been… strange, to say the least. As noted in a recent post, I've been diving into similar writings that explore the idea that humans are actually extraterrestrial hybrids. Before you dismiss the idea outright, you might care to question all the unanswered questions. I personally believe that there's intelligent life out there – and that's exactly why it's choosing not to reveal itself to us outright. Some say Niburu is coming, others say that Planet X is nothing more than bad astronomy. Have YOU ever had a close encounter of the weird kind?

Can you recommend these *similar writings* that you speak of, to me? I'd be very interested in reading them. I, too, have expressed the interest in the idea that humans are extraterrestrial hybrids… we are so very unique compared to the other creatures of this world… some of my friends agree with me that this could be possible, and some think *BAH*!! I'd be very interested in reading some scientific evidence or theory of this! Thanks for this post, Chris. :-)

” Have YOU ever had a close encounter of the weird kind?”
Does the first time we met count? Just kidding. :)

No, the question isn't if there is intelligent life out there. The question is, “Is there intelligent life here on Terra PHirma?”

I certainly hope there is intelligent life “out there” because it is short supply around here.

Your post title sounds like a demented re-make of a Brittany Spears song. ;) And yes I definitely believe in extraterrestial life. Why would WE be the ONLY ones? I think that would be pretty arrogant of us.

I've researched this sort of thing for over a decade now. There is a lot of evidence and a lot of disinformation. I came full circle throughout the research, almost giving up on my faith and then returning to it an even stronger believer. Ask yourself this question: if there was some force trying to turn believers from God, what would be the best way to do it?

I bet you and Kate got along well. I read Whitley Strieber's books, Communion through The Key. I have not read his latest yet, although I have it.
He doesn't try to judge as to whether what he experieces in absolutes. The aliens aren't demons or angels. At first, he trys to judge if his experience are real. It seems they are real. He also seems to believe that they have an intimate understanding of human behavior, and/or to influence people's behavior.
I don't think he knows how far they ahead of us they are in years. For example what would someone from 100 – 200 years in our past think if they saw an airplane or TV?
There seems to be more than one race.
They also made some of his money disappear. But he had paper records, so no loss.

And now returning the real world…none of this kind of pie-in-the-sky stuff ever pans out; it's just a way to seperate gullible people from their money.
Unique ?! We're jumped up monkeys and our DNA shows that we're NOT anything special. Chimpanzees are over 95% the same as us…I share DNA strands with that weird stuff that lives near the hot vents at the bottom of the oceans!
Aliens?! Pah…start with http://www.skepdic.com and give the ever popular James Randi (http://www.randi.org) a visit too.
The real story of how we got to where we are today is amazing enough…you need aliens to make it more interesting?

A close encounter of the weird kind? A whole lot of them, starting with my first wife. You'd be surprised what low self esteem

I am actually Xcklooper from the planet Swxiar, and I am most humored to find that you believe you come from apes. We invented you because we were bored, we decided to make little beings that would do strange things and kill each other. You are all doing a good job. Thank you.

This is the single most ridiculous theory I have EVER come across. I believe in life on other planets but this is just ludicrous. As another person posted… supposedly all the sh!t was supposed to hit the fan in May of 2003… boy they really hit the nail on the head there. Wow I can't imagine how they kept this information out of the mainstream media…

Don't let the “non-believer” bastards grind you down Chris. I've been researching all this stuff and more for years now and there is plenty of evidence to show that humanity was seeded by an outside race. I highly recommend any of the books by Zacharia Sitchin, Laurence Gardner, Andrew Collins, and Alan Alford, for differing, but highly researched views on these subjects. Most people cannot grasp these ideas because they are raised to believe that anything outside of religious doctrine and the history books is mythology and nothing more. We must remember that these “myths” were history to the Sumerians and many others, so why should we doubt them entirely? Just remember, Napoleon was right, history is written by the winners, and also remember that Troy was just a myth of Homer until following the myth proved it to be a reality.

Well maybe we should all start believing… they have presented such compelling evidence so far. I mean the apocolypitc conditions I am living in since the May 30 deadline has passed is overwhelming. Anyone can write a book but unless you have physical proof to back up claims.. I'll stick with the evolution theory thanks.

It's all evil spirits dude, evil spirits, the sons of God. The truth is out there, but the road is narrow dude. Don't concern yourself with things that take your mind off of how vile you are. Save your soul. Yadig?

I've always been fascinated by unexplained phenomena, UFOs in particular. No, I've never seen or heard anything I couldn't explain. There are truly bizarre things that some people claim to see, and they can't all be wacky in the head or so blind they mistake neon colored, silent, shape-shifting objects that hover and then dart off in a flash, for a meteor. The interesting events seem to happen around military bases, like Groom Lake and the now closed Bentwaters (recently discussed on SciFi channel). I've often thought if I was rich, I'd travel around the world and investigate these types of events for the fun of it.

I know that the only intelligent life out there comes in the form of a child. A child is unharmed from all of the propaganda and bull—. A child will say what is on their mind. I think adults are the non intelluctualls.

Virginia, children are not intelligent. Children are inquisitive, and apt to learn. Children are also gullible due to their lack of knowledge. Children have only experience of the meagre years they have so far existed, their intelligence is severely limited compared with an adult. Saying what is on your mind is not always a good thing, for example, if I called you a “dumb, ageist bitch”, it would stir up negative feelings (I don't really think of you that way, but I think it makes a good point). The fact is that 'humans' (whether old or young) are selfish. I would say that the only intelligent life is that of one who loves others as themself.

I would have to disagree with you concerning the intelligence of children. Childhood is the prime developmental and learning stage for the mind. The fact that a child has a lack of knowledge and is impresionable does not at the least bit imply that the child is lacking in intelligence. You can't just assume that someone is “stupid” simply because that person is lacking in experience. Oh… btw… inquisitiveness and aptness to learn are both primary signs of intelligence, wouldn't you think? Go to a dictionary and efine intelligence, my friend. And think before you speak, and for god's sake, know what the hell you are talking about. I severely doubt that you have any experience with children whatsoever, Cuthbert.
