I want one. I posted the first comment. Will you give me a book?

I think if giving were the point it'd be in PDF.

No… I think we'd still be paying for the PDF version.
RSS feed?? That's be a give-away.

Did anyone notice this on Amazon:
Shipping: Due to this item's unusual size or weight, it requires special handling and will ship separately from other items in your order.
Just how big is Chris's book!!!

Tim a bit further down in the amzon listing it states that the book is 688 pages, and is in paperback form.

That's pretty expensive for a paperback. Maybe Chris would give a few away. :)

I just was about to comment on that weight thing but see that others have already picked up on it. Sharp bunch :)
Guess it means that John and Chris have a lot to say

And we thought Chris had a big head!
The extra shipping is probably due to John C. Dvorak's big head :)

What specifically is this book about? Business online? Using the internet? Blogs?

It's for the clueless.

the book hasn't been released yet, thus it will ship seperatley than your other items…

Oh no! Now we have Chris going all Leo LaPorte (”Buy my book, Buy my book!”)
It's not even out yet and already 30% off. This is not a flame, just a warped observation. Actually I am impressed that you are co-authoring a book by Dvorak. It should be a great read.

Hey p cirillo, wasn't one flaming post enough for you? Jeez…
WTG Chris! Can't wait to get a copy.

Well, there's no 'splaination on this or that Website, but here's a guess – it'll be an offbeat, irreverent look at where the Net is, with lots of tips for the Clueless Newbies and just enough razzmatazz to try to get us (ahem) “We Know Enough to be Dangerous” experts to at least pick it up, too.
But I could be wrong…;-) The question is, how out of date will it be the day it hits the shelves? The Net is like that. I mean, would RSS tips from 3-6 months ago work today? I hope there's a live online companion;-)

Wow, Jerry pournelle from CHAOS MANOR . I remember reading his article's on Byte, man that was late 80's early 90's . I loved how he would talk about some new piece of equipment, then hop onto a new subject about old technology ( back then old meant commodore 64's). Hope your book does well, it's got the muscle behind it, or should I say the brains.

I really want to buy the book and the coffee, but I'm a college student, so it's gonna be a while before I can afford extras like that. Hope they're still available then. Congratulations on the book, Chris!

If this is what I think it is…
…I've read a couple chapters.
It's a generalized book… kind of working for the “internet doesn't have manual” idea. It should have materials that appeal to those new to the web or would like to learn more about how the internet works.
If this is what I read the couple chapters from, it's a good book, well written and easy to understand.

Is it only me, or does it look like Chris's photo has been quickly added over the Dvorak one ? I mean, at first I thought this image was a fake just so that Chris could make a few readers giggle about his humor and his Photoshop skills, but it turns out it's the real deal! So, who designed the cover, huh ? ;)

Looks like a priest on the left and an alter boy on the right to me.

Is anyone else having a problem hearing the “speak”? I reported the error but got back undeliverable email only. Is it not there or what.
Thanks

Why do i suddenly think that i wont benifit from this book?
