One Red Paperclip
We’ve heard of a guy auctioning his blogging services on eBay and of course there’s that fellow who rents his chest, but what about trading one red paperclip for a house? Okay, that’s not exactly what’s going on, but Kyle from One Red Paperclip is on his way to swapping a series of items for progressively better swag in order to achieve his ultimate goal - owning a house. He’s already transitioned through a fish pen, a doorknob, a camping stove, a generator, an instant party and is currently looking to swap a snowmobile. What seemingly started as a lark is growing into one of the most interesting social experiments of the moment. Kyle has become increasingly interested in the sociology of the deal rather than the ultimate goal, which makes this a story everyone wants to hear. Chris talks with Kyle about One Red Paperclip and another social experiment dubbed Message in a Barrel.
