Nvidia vs. ATI
For many years, I swore by Nvidia cards – but then ATI finally pulled their heads into the game and started releasing stable drivers. I hadn't had too many complaints with my 9800 XT in the 2D Windows environment, but their new Catalyst Control Center leaves something to be desired. I love the real-time settings previews, but the default look and feel seems completely unpolished to me (including the skins). Third-party fanatics are doing a better job developing software / tweaks for the cards than the manufacturer itself. My concerns didn't push me to the edge until I noticed a few refresh issues atop Word 2003. Considering that Office 2003 is a dog, I'm not too surprised – but I am a little disappointed. Mark my words: 2D acceleration will take a front seat before the next version of Windows is unleashed.

Yes, that other post was quite real – but those jerks that were commenting would have just kept coming, so this was probably the best solution.
People shouldn't be able to force you to conform to their own opinions, but sometimes it happens.

That's wierd. Now comments are disappearing, too.

And? It's his blog. It's his content/property. You have the right to post whatever you want, but he has the right to delete or edit it. Don't like it? Do something more constructive to do with your time. That said, I think Chris made a valid point. It came off a little insensitive, but I doubt he meant to do that. I'm guessing that's the reason he pulled the post.

Looks like Chris deleted the comment I was replying to or maybe I axidently put my comment in the wrong place? What's pathetic is people who have nothing better to do but coming here and acting like jerks. I just think it's truely sad, and I'm tired of it. Maybe if you didn't have your head up your ass, you wouldn't judge me before you knew me.

I wish I could find a comparison chart between nVidia and ATI. Just a straight forward this card is the same or comparable to this card. I’ve always used nVidia so I have no idea what I’m looking at in an ATI card. Mostly due to driver issues or intent of use.
Thanks.
