I have three Dells here in the house and when I was the Admin at the last job I made sure we bought Dell. Out of 25 systems that I have ordered for various places in the US and Canada, Dell screwed up once. Mind you, it was a good screw-up. First of all, because the company was new (and also a future dot-bomb) Dell wanted the money up front so we paid via a credit card. Dell didn't tell us that one system was on a card without the room for it so nothing for 10 days. I finally called them and asked about the system. So we put it on a new card and Dell speed production. Now this laptop is supposed to go to Miami but Dell send it to somewhere in Texas (can't remember exactly) and it takes another 2 and a half weeks to get sent correct. Sigh, sometimes one mistake is only the start of things. Now with all that said, I still recommend Dell as I have a 3 year old Dimension XPS P2-400 that has run rock solid. The laptops, in general, are well-built too and the tech support has been much better than any time I have had to spend on Apple or HP products.
