Normally Paranormal

I became a Coast to Coast Streamlink member this weekend – I just love following the lunatic fringe. Dr. Phil was on to talk about the planet Pluto last night, and when he referenced “Giant Ice Balls” – I sent him an instant message, claiming that I had “giant ice balls.” To which he immediately responded, “mine are brass.” Talk about paranormal!

Anyway, I generally enjoy listening to C2C – especially when JC comes on (great comic relief). Tonight’s guest is Glenn Kimball – and he’s going to be discussing the history of terrorism. I’m sure skeptics will be debunking Glenn left-and-right, but that doesn’t make his research any less interesting. History does not come from books, you know? Sometimes the only way to truly understand history is by challenging its “truths.” The Earth used to be flat.

While we’re on the subject of UFOs (even though I hadn’t had a chance to work them into the conversation until now), I’m convinced that the C2C Web crew are aliens. When I asked ‘em for the direct podcast URL, they said: “The recent release of iTunes is non-compatible with our Podcasting system.” No, their “system” is incompatible with the rest of the galaxy – get it straight. No matter, I can always download the archives on-demand.

I love it when JC comes on too!

George is quite strange, but Art seems to be more suited for radio.

It’s interesting to get people’s explanation of things from “the other side.”

How far back do the archives go for a member?

That’s awesome you joined. A friend of mine has a subscription, so I’m able to borrow a show here and there if I can’t catch it live. Search for the recent show with Dan Akroyd during the first hour. It was fun hearing Dan talk about his UFO experience and why he believes they exist. The guy is a huge UFO buff. There are some genuine stinkers on C2CAM, but also some real gems to be found. Having a subscription makes it much easier to find the good stuff. Speaking of potential gems, Thursday evening to Friday morning, 24 August to 25 August depending on geography and time zone, Whitley Strieber will be discussing his new book, The Grays. His newest work is reality set in fiction. He’ll probably address why he wrote it this way on the upcoming program. Word is the plan is to make a movie version, so stay tuned. Count me amongst the lunatic fringe for thinking so, but I’ve followed this guy for years and he hasn’t changed his story to make me doubt him. He’s weathered the tediously annoying rectal probe jokes, put up with people who accuse him of writing an alien horror story for monetary gain, taken the medical tests to rule out brain diseases, and has lived as an ordinary person faced with extraordinary experiences. He’s written The Wolfen, Nature’s End and other prose. Above his other liteary works, he’s best know for Communion. I know this sounds like a rant from a fanboy, but I’ve come to the conclusion that this man is legitimate. I don’t believe he’s lying and making this up. The obvious question is if we are being visited by entities of some kind from somewhere, or are millions of people suffering similar, but undiagnosed mass delusions. Whichever explanation you think is correct, it ought to be reason enough to start serious study by the scientific and academic community to get to the bottom of it. Can we ever get beyond the nervous laughter factor and sidestep issues is my concern. Whether you want to believe it’s all in his mind, it’s happening in our reality, or is something in between is up to you. I hope you enjoy the show call in sometime.
