No Limo For You!
I had to take another rain cheque on the limo ride; seems that someone at Sony was laid off, and someone else had to do something about it. What does that mean? I have no idea. But I do know that I was just greeted with an e-mail from Renata Aquino: “I'm from a Brazilian technology news agency and I'm doing an article about fonts and I quote your blog design. Would it be OK to add a partial screenshot of your blog to the article?” Heh. Cool. I was considering removing the embedded FOT, but not if it's going to catch people's attention. I've converted a few signatures for folks, and my offer still stands.

Love the blog design, Chris. It seems you're a pioneer! I found the article – http://www.magnet.com.br/bits/internet/2003/01/0005 – they did on you, but didn't see a screenshot of your site. Here's part of it roughly translated via Babelfish: “Chris Pirillo, geek for backwards of the Lockergnome.com, is one of the blogueiros that h|chris.pirillo.com|testaram } the newness. Pirillo used the ScanFont, of the Fontlab.com and added one background of notebook leaf to its site that left it with daily an interesting face of geek. Other programs suggested in blog of Pirillo are the Your Handwriting (simple but with 2,0 results not so good) and the FontCreator.”

I agree with Don.. I've been reading the naysayers and I say don't listen to them!
This has been a public service announcement. ;)

Chris,
After attended both Gnomdex events over the last two years I have noticed quite a difference between Gnomdex 2001, were general PC technology was the main theme to Gnomdex 2002, where blogging was the main theme.
If and when there is to be a Gnomdex 2003, what will be the planned theme or is it still to early to speculate on this. Also is there any idea of a location yet? I would suggest that you stick with tradition and keep it in good old Iowa

All my best,
