Today, we hung out with Roberto Hoyos from Throwboy and the computers who say “ni!” Well, just one computer, in any case.
Roberto brought over an ancient NeXT computer (NeXTstation) that was given to him — for free (it probably retailed at around $5,000 when brand new) — by a random Craigslist person, and we had fun poking at it a bit. If you’re not familiar with the NeXT computer, it’s a product of the company that Steve Jobs co-founded during his time away from Apple in the late ’80s. The display from this particular model was manufactured in 1991. What were you doing that year? Were you even born yet?
Enjoy this bit of computing nostalgia with us!
