Hey Chris:
There's another piece of software that converts video into MP4 as well. It's called PSP Video 9. The website is http://www.pspvideo9.com/ References to a Bit Torrent client called Videora and BitComet can also be found there (I think they're all put out by the same people).
Anyhow, I use PSP Video 9 for my video blog (I encode into MP4 even though I'm a PC user) and it works GREAT with Quicktime and the vids all look FANTASTIC on it too.
Just figured you would wanna know :)
Cheers for now :)

PSPWare for Windows is out: http://www.nullriver.com

After trying all these tools, I'd like to recommend PSP Movie Creator . It can convert DVD and Tivo2Go files as well as many other formats. The DVD conversion is super fast with many advanced features. Its video thumbnail support is the best. I'd like to preview the video and capture thumbnails on what I see. That is convenient.
For people who want freeware, PSP Video Express is another option. Both software are pretty good.

We bought a PSP in Spain last year and found out afterwards that it was made for the Japanese market and formatted accordingly. When we tried to convert DVDs to PSP format, it wouldn’t work. We called Sony and they said that conversion is restricted to using Japanese region coded DVDs only. We either have US region format or universal (from living in China for 4 years). Does anyone know if there is a way to reprogram the PSP or to get around the region restriction?

Hi Chris, Thanks for the link about PSPWare for Windows… my favorite tool for ripping movies to the PSP is DVDFab http://www.dvdfab.com In order to rip to the PSP you’ll need the Platinum edition. Works great and support from the author is terrific.

Take care my friend.

The Xilisoft PSP Video Converter and ImTOO Video Converter look to be the same software. Look at the screenshots. I use PSP video express personally and it’s delivered great high quality videos.
