The Google Chrome bookmark sync creates a 'dogs breakfast' of bookmarks between the sync'd computers, doubling up occurrences of bookmarks, confusing the directory structure the bookmarks are in, deleting whole categories of them. Sync does not standardize the file structure for the bookmarks between the computers. There is no way of controlling which computers bookmarks will prevail and which will be deleted. I suggest this should only be used by those with a few bookmarks. If you have hundreds you will probably find that you have lost half of them within a few days. This is not as simple as it sounds!!
