My Heart Beats On
Hey folks. Just a quick post to tell you that I'm still alive and well. Well, alive. It's been murder trying to get anything done on a 56k connection, so instead of running into that wall of frustration night after night, I get online, check my e-mail, and disconnect. The good news is that DSL is supposed to be installed on the 11th. One more week of this and I'd go completely crazy. I can't wait to get back into my daily / nightly routine. I miss posting goofy crap. I miss writing Lockergnome issues. I miss responding to e-mails. I'm out of the loop, and I don't like it. Not one bit. No sir. Besides, I've got to show you how nice this place is shaping up! We've got a few more boxes to move, but we're 99% there.
In fact, we're selling some items: Sofa cover (cream colored, barely used);
Plastic chair mat (to place over a carpet);
Two tall, black CD towers (one wire, one metal);
CD caddy (holds 100+ CDs, great for underbed storage);
Various power strips & extension cords;
Dog cage (perfect for smaller dogs);
Bodum Santos coffee machine (trying to cut down);
Wire-neck desk lamp (bulb included!);
Large stepladder;
Floor chair (light blue cushion);
omputer system (800MHz PIII, etc.);
VHS-C Camcorder (JVC GR-AXM270 with 5 blank tapes). I'll hopefully upload some pictures at work tomorrow. If you live in the Bay area, let's talk. I gotta move this stuff out of here. Prices weren't mentioned because I'm willing to dicker.
And if you know of a certified electrician who lives in the area, I need him or her ASAP. There are still a few outlets in this apartment which aren't up to code, and I'll be damned if I'm fixing them myself. BRRRRRRRRZP!

Stephen and I have been looking for a good sofa cover - only thing is, we don't live nearby. We can send you a check to also cover costs of shipping if you're willing… let me know!

What is dial-up? It's been so long. I'm not sure I even want to relate to what you are going through. Hope to see you back in full operations soon Chris. And, don't give up on caffeine! I hear they are going to make it one of the required food groups…

Caffiene in a pinch = Chocolate covered Expresso Beans. Munch on 2 and you're wired for a couple hours.
