Hey all hello Chris whatÂ’s happening?
I just bought the XV6600 and I am truly impressed. I stumbled on youÂ’re webBlog looking for accessories. Just want to say I been a PocketPC Mobile user since the Toshiba 740 then went to the Toshiba 750. I just purchased the XV6600 I got a great deal with it or so I thinkÂ…
Let me say you don't need a software upgrade it works fine just the way it is unless you are addicted to constantly upgrading you're phone. :)
I own a copy of Microsoft Voice Command and I can use it for voice calling don't even have to record my voice just say the name and it dials the call.
The camera is so not a mega pixel camera but that's just an extra feature I really didn't care about but none the less it will come in handy.
I would like to purchase a larger battery my Toshiba 750 has a extended battery that last 10hrs. I would like to get one like that for the XV6600.
Been looking for a good leather pouch/flip case for it that supports the camera and a extended battery whenever I find one... :)
As Chris said he won't get much use of the backlit keyboard nether will I I am used to the stylist typing.
Anyways it was the only cool phone Verizon sold other then switching over to T-Mobile...

I just got one with the camera. I dowloaded the latest update and when I tried to run it I got a message that I had the wrong model for this update. Turns out there is no available software from Verizon/Audiovox for the camera version and none is planned!!!!
I am returning it in a few days.

For those of us lucky enough to have EV-DO coverage, the XV6600 is spectacular. Having the keyboard means now you can sell your Blackberry, and have all the features of a Pocket PC that Blackberrys don't have (EV-DO and even 1XRTT allow you to stay logged on to your Exchange server and get the same kind of push email as the Blackberry provides). BTW, my 6600 not only has the camera (the Verizon standard 6600 is WithOutCamera), but it is overclocked and otherwise had its parameters and firmware tweaked for maxi performance.
