The buyers of netbooks seem to be split between pure price shoppers and toy buyers (as gifts for others or self).
Mercifully, no one really expects to do anything useful with one of these. Popular customer comment: "its a glorified Blackberry without the phone".
When I started using a Blackberry, I noticed it became a waste of energy to use my notebook at all, since basic web & mail works ok on a handheld.
Without an Aircard and data plan, the netbook user is still tethered to WiFi or wired.
My opinion: another component of the hi tech waste stream.

I work in retail and we sell “netbooks” along with assorted Wintel units and Macbooks.<br

(I paid more, but I also bought it before all the other competition came along.) I'm happy with mine. It is the second one as the first I bought was the ASUS 700 with the solid state processor and SD slot. It worked well, but had a much smaller keyboard. IT was also smaller overall, and I didn't like having to scroll vertically on the 7" screen.
Are you correct in that your keyboard is (20%) smaller than normal? Mine is 92% of normal, which is about the standard. I don't find much difference from normal (smaller) keyboards of so-called standard size, except for the placement of the shift key. It is off-standard for a touch typist.Enjoy!Gord

I bought the ASUS 1000 Chris, which basically has all the same specs as your MSI Wind.
