Movable Type v1.4
In addition to bug fixes and improvements to general stability, this release adds the following features: new and improved default templates and styles; tags to produce a customizable calendar display; tags to link to the next and previous archives; editable comment previews; the ability to customize the comment error page.
And a partridge in a pear tree. We'll see if Gretchen likes any of the new HTML templates. They look nice! I haven't upgraded yet, but I'm about to do the installation (after I post this entry). If all goes well, I'll blog something again in a few minutes. Cross your eyes.

I just don’t think that any of these plugins (or social networking buttons, for that matter) are worth the space or effort. comments Related Content:Move over, Blogebrity?Blog Comment SpammersBlog ClubMovable Type v1.4BlogebrityBlog PioneeringAkismet Accidents?Sugar HatersGooglefasting: Day 12Spam Research [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] (via Abhi’s shared items in Google Reader)

You can see the rusty template in action on Ben's page:

Adding just one graphic really makes a difference.

And you can see my modified version of the Gettysburg template on The Resolution Project. I think they are quite wonderful!

Oops. That url is http://www.resolutionproject.com - Mena has informed me that the calendar isn't displaying correctly on the Mac now that I tweaked it for the PC. Uh oh. And the wars rage on…
