So Silly that people buy into Microsoft's MVP marketing ploy. Yes, you, you idiot who is dumb enough to do Microsoft's support work…yes, you who typically doesn't make a dime off helping people solve problems Microsoft tech support should be solving, but doesn't for a fee…yes, you, we'll give you the designator of 'MVP' and make you feel special for being so dumb and doing our bidding for us without pay.
No slight to Chris, but why people think this is SO special is beyond me. YOU'RE DOING THE JOB MICROSOFT SHOULD BE DOING, BUT!!! YOU'RE DOING IT FOR THEM FOR FREE, just for the dopey distinction of being an MVP. Ask them when they plan on paying you…then it'd be worth something.
Remember Apple's 1984 commercial? All those glassy-eyed followers were really just future Microsoft MVPers…

How to become an MVP :
1) run a respected Windows daily newsletter for years, centered around your personality as a Windows fanatic.
2) start complaining about Windows in your newsletter (try to complain for a few days at least), and hint at switching to MacOS (or worse : Linux).
Within a few days, you should receive your MVP announcement.
