Microsoft Windows Commercials

I hate to be the one to tell Microsoft that they wasted millions of dollars on their “Start Something” campaign, but as evidenced in tonight's report, these commercials are unapologetically generic. Let's just see what happens when we query Google for start something windows commercial and press the Lucky button? Oh my. That's bad.

hahaha, thats really bad.

Thats classic, I love it.

I'm not defending those commercials–but what does it mean to say “Oh my. That's bad.” Doesn't the fact that someone has googlebombed “start something windows commercial” say something worse about Google (namely that it can be so easily gamed) than Microsoft? Those commercials sure won't convince me to buy XP; the googlebombers won't convince me to buy a Mac, either. But I *do* start to worry about the relevance of Google's algorithms…

OMG! You're Clever!

you know what I hate most about Microsoft marketing and their homepage? Those stock photos of smiling people. It doesn’t seem professional at all and it annoys me (besides, smiling is the last thing you do while using microsoft products)
