Meeting in Meatspace
You headin' to the Seattle Bloggers Meetup tonight? I think Ponzi's going, too! I'll try to do a better job at capturing people's heads for the forthcoming icon extravaganza. That's the easiest way to identify people (plus, it's relatively easy to produce after I have a pile of photographs collected from the night's event). Speaking of photographs… digital cameras… I've heard nothing from Hitachi, who is currently holding onto my busted Microdrive. According to the hard drive support site: “The returned defective hard disk drive was received and the replacement hard disk drive has not been shipped yet.” Whoopee! It just stopped working the other day. Apparently, I have to treat microdrives with gloves! They're so temperamental. Right now, I'm using a “non-compliant” (according to the morons at Nikon) solid state CompactFlash card. It definitely feels slower than the Microdrive, oddly enough. Regardless, I'll be bringing my camera tonight – and hope to avoid using a flash whenever possible. Ralph's is dark at night, though.
