Mea Culpa
Remember my idea of a Start Menu-based newsfeed parser? I'm sure countless software developers are feverishly working on one – but Dave was the first one to cross the finish line, and I hadn't said anything about it until now. So, here's a very public THANK YOU to the guy who has made my world easier to deal with on a daily basis. I couldn't get my OPML file to import, but Scoble let me borrow his. Looks like NewsGator isn't 1.1 compliant. Does anybody have a simple conversion tool for me? Regardless, consider my subscription to Radio renewed, and my faith in Winer's ability to deliver usable features completely renewed.

I do't use Radio, but NewsDesk, a free program has always showed up in my start menu. I know I've got to be missing something??? Will the parser allow non RSS, XML to be loaded in NewsDesk?

Chris – NewsGator certainly does generate valid OPML; the problem is, the OPML spec is not clear on a couple of things. In particular, there is one attribute (xmlurl or xmlUrl) that Radio and NewsGator differ on.
Since Radio unfortunately can't import a OPML file with xmlurl, use a text editor to change all instances of “xmlurl” to “xmlUrl”, and Radio shouldn't barf.

I just tried out radio this weekend. I found it easy to install and I was blogging in no time flat. My hacking to add graphics to my posts caused the program to lose the edit box and I had to reinstall radio last night. What is OPML? Yikes, another acronym I have to look up and remember. Whats with the peach fuzz Chris?
