If the screen tilts more than 90 degrees from the ground, it'll close on my fingers. Really annoying when you're computing from bed. I need to figure out some way of wedging the screen open. Let me know if you figure this one out.

The 17″ has awesome resolution, but its screen clutch doesn’t seem to be as tight as it should be (given its weight)

Mine has the same problem. Not elegant, but does work.

If you can see the server using Entourage, you can use the built-in sync services on the Mac to sync Entourage and iCal/Address Book and resolve that problem. What does the article have to do with light side v. dark side?I think OSX is annoying because everyone tells you "it just works". Then you try it for yourself and find out they lied! Well, most of the time it just works, but WinXP just works most of the time for me, too. I think the Dashboard is pointless. I occasionally use a Sudoko Dashboard widget, but that's it. I've tried other widgets and just end up uninstalling them. Finally, I think Trader Joe's bruschetta is addictive.

Er…What? Adium - Instant messanger
AppDelete - Drag an application to it and it'll get rid of all the files that application installed
AppFresh -This will tell you when one of your applications gets updated
Camino - Mozilla based web browser (Though I'm using Safari 3 now)
Disk Inventory X - a visual representation of what's taking up space on your hard drive.
Google Earth - Do I need to explain?
HandBreak - Backup DVD's or convert them to iPod or AppleTV format
MagiCal - Puts the current day and date up near your clock
Monolingual - remove language files you don't use that are cluttering your disk '
OnyX - OS X Maintenance Tool.
SuperDuper! - backup utility, full (shareware) or incremental (paid)
Temperature Monitor - to work with iStat Pro widget
VLC - a must on every OS
Xslimmer - remove the universal from the universal binaries to save hard drive space.
Caffeine - prevent your monitor from going to sleep or dimming

Here’s a list of OS X software to check out:<br
