Love It!
One piece of software I'm developing a new fondness for:
AutoMate 5.0. To simply pass it
off as another “macro” program wouldn't be doing it justice; few
alternatives measure up to its power. Scenario: you want to do
something in Windows or you want Windows to do something for you.
Normally, you have to find software to complete the operation(s).
So, what if that software doesn't exist? Worse yet, what if you
need two or more separate utilities just to do one “simple” thing?
That's when it might be time to write your own script(s). “But
Chris,” you cry, “I can't program!” That's okay, 'cause neither
can I. AutoMate's new release makes it so simple that if you know
what you WANT to do, you'll be able to start doing it in minutes.
All you need is to understand simple logic. “If [THIS] then
[THAT]” stuff. It's easy, give it a shot. Oh,
you'd rather work with a wizard? It has one of those, too. I don't
have many “power tools” on my belt, but this one is sitting front
and center. When I want something to work the way *I* want it to
work, I AutoMate it. Thought you'd like to know.
