There is good reason for this.

The window is modal (child of the spawning window). You are unable to click on any parent windows while a child is displayed. All modal windows act in this fashion.

If Windows allowed you to min this window, you'd wonder why you couldn't click on any of the other windows in the program.

This is by design and very logical.

Nifty!
Hey, dig this, have you noticed this cool improvement... Say an IE window goes haywire. You CAD and use Task Mgr to close the offender. In Win2k, this would kill all open IE windows, even if you selected to kill _just_ the rouge winder. But in XP, only the window you select goes down.
I can't recall if that problem existed in 9x, most likely but I've managed to block out most memories from that era. Eeecch!
All the windows closing would not have been a big deal if IE had the "Continue Browsing Where I was Last Time" feature present in Opera... But when you're 20 clicks deep into a multi-window surf...losing all those pages can be a pain.
Sorry, just had to share my joy...

Strange... it doesn't do it on my Outlook 2000 but it does in Outlook Express. Could it be an OS issue? I'm using 98SE/IE6. Does it do it in earlier versions of IE/Outlook Express?
