Lookout Express

(1) Open Outlook Express; (2) Open the Address Book; (3) Select a Contact; (4) Press the Action button; (5) Select the Send Mail option; (6) Try to minimize the resulting message window. Freaky, eh?

Use Optimize 3.0 to clear out your registry, and get rid of pesky errors that can threaten the stability of your machine. It's also easy to use to kill off unneeded processes that may be hogging up your memory - and will help speed up your boot times.

Very freaky! howd you find this?

Whoa, that's odd. Sounds like something you should send to Microsoft then you get to feel special knowing you helped make the next version of OE. Or something…

Elementary my dear Chris..
the minimise button greyed out. Damn!

Hi Chris- I like your show. I also saw you at the Garlic festival – my geek boyfriend was in awe (so was I, but to a lesser extent). Don't you feel special now? Oh yes, your trick is freaky. thanks!

but… it… should… what… the… ok… but… what about… developers developers developers devlopers. Got to love consistancy

I think they put stupid little quirks like this so people like us can wonder if there complete freaking idots

The same trick works in Outlook 2000. That is so weird.

Mc Donalds has cappichino. Maybe a starbucks. Mc Donalds cappichino is really good!

Strange. Can't honestly think of a reason why the minimise button should be greyed out…

Thats pretty odd hey!
Enjoy ur weekend!

Strange… it doesn't do it on my Outlook 2000 but it does in Outlook Express. Could it be an OS issue? I'm using 98SE/IE6. Does it do it in earlier versions of IE/Outlook Express?

hey! My comment was supposed to be in the last post… Odd!

Nifty!
Hey, dig this, have you noticed this cool improvement… Say an IE window goes haywire. You CAD and use Task Mgr to close the offender. In Win2k, this would kill all open IE windows, even if you selected to kill _just_ the rouge winder. But in XP, only the window you select goes down.
I can't recall if that problem existed in 9x, most likely but I've managed to block out most memories from that era. Eeecch!
All the windows closing would not have been a big deal if IE had the “Continue Browsing Where I was Last Time” feature present in Opera… But when you're 20 clicks deep into a multi-window surf…losing all those pages can be a pain.
Sorry, just had to share my joy…

Your right about how it kills all the IE windows in windows 95,98,ME
I am using ME and IT DRIVES ME UP A CRICK when that happens.
(if anyone actually is reading this, emai me and SEND ME A COPY OF WINDOWS XP (i know your all nice folks)

hmmm…let me try…

uh..wha…uh….ahh..hmm…..jesus!
them damn developers!

There is good reason for this.

The window is modal (child of the spawning window). You are unable to click on any parent windows while a child is displayed. All modal windows act in this fashion.

If Windows allowed you to min this window, you’d wonder why you couldn’t click on any of the other windows in the program.

This is by design and very logical.
