The money was intended to pay for the tuition fees of her son who was entering a well-known overseas university. Ms Lok, together with nine other winners, will share their investment stories at an award presentation ceremony tonight to be hosted by the Chairman of the SFC, Mr Eddy Fong (Note1). “The competition is a continued effort by the SFC to promote investor education. Through experience sharing, we hope the competition will help promulgate a healthy investment attitude and raise the public awareness of the associated risks before making investment decisions,” Mr Fong said. “The winning stories provide some very useful lessons as to how gaining product knowledge, good risk management and proper attitudes toward investing can help make sound investment decisions,” he added. The competition is organized jointly by the SFC and its media partners - Commercial Radio One and Sing Tao Daily. The winners were selected by a panel of judges. Winners will share their investment experiences on Commercial Radio One programme “CrossTrade” every Tuesday and Thursday starting from 26 August.
